The Maricopa County Fair, Inc is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operated for the betterment of the community. Though we are the recognized "County Fair" for Maricopa County, the fair receives no funding directly from the county.
The fair membership of the Maricopa County Fair is comprised of forty five elected commissioners and two ex officio members. The fair is governed by a nineteen member Board of Directors with five officers including, President, President Elect, Treasurer, Secretary and Past President which comprise the Executive Committee. Members of the Board of Director volunteer their time and effort.
The day to day operations of the corporation are managed by a contracted management team that serve the role of Executive Director. The fair relies heavily on volunteers from the community to fulfil it's mission.
Meetings of the corporation are held as needed, typically monthly, with an annual meeting each September. Meetings of the Board, Executive Board, Commissioners and Committees are announced
to the group meeting with the exception of the Annual Meeting which, in accordance with the By-Laws of the corporation, is announced to the Commissioners and the Board of Directors.
The public is welcome at any meetings held by the association with the exception of meetings held in Executive Session. Guests at meetings may or may be not permitted time to address the Commissioners, Board or Committee during the meeting. Those wishing to be heard should contact the Maricopa County Fair Office by:
